Major Professor:
Academic Interests:

I am studying the use of synthetic elicitors as a pest management strategy in potatoes. I am also looking at mixed infection environments with Candidatus Liberibacter solanacearum vectored by the potato psyllid and potato plants infected with PVY.

I am a NIFA student working under Silvia Rondon. Prior to this I worked as a chef for 12 years after graduating Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. I am passionate about helping to feed the world in a way that is environmentally sustainable and socially equitable. I am a member of the Entomological Society of America and the North American Coalition for Insect Agriculture. Through these organizations, I help to advocate for the broader inclusion of insects as an alternative protein within the United States. In my free time, I enjoy backpacking in the Olympic peninsula and experimenting with growing chili peppers.
