Integrated Pest Management

Entomology Program Area faculty are examining insect, mite, and slug pests in dry land and irrigated systems across the state including nursery crops, field crops such as onions, potatoes, corn, grasses, and clovers raised for seed, and horticultural  crops including apples, berries, cherries, grapes, and pears. Basic and applied questions are addressed for development of integrated pest management tactics involving use of pheromones, and biological control using predators and parasitoids.
